 Was born in Angola and we moved to Congo for a couple of years to flee the conflict. After the war, I went back to Angola and I and became fascinated with film and photography at an early age.
I can remember building my first Projector at age 8 and from that point on I have read and studied photography with a passion that is unequalled in other aspects of my life.
I moved to Belgium (Brussels) with my beloved sister at age of 8 Years old. I lived there for 1 year. Then I moved to Luxembourg. I grew up in Paris and I studied two years Film photography at College louis lumiere & kensington and Chelsea College Documentary maker and video productions.
I started working for ELLE magazine Studio in Paris for one year as a photographer’s assistant. I find a lot of solace in photography - it is a pursuit that allows me to slow the pace of life and pay attention to the details. Each fragment of time contains so much worth capturing: beauty, harmony, discord, injustice, emotion, the nuances of light and life... So much that can easily be ignored in the inertia of our lives. It is my deepest wish to excel in photography through an awareness of these moments and a practiced skill in capturing them.
I moved to London in the late 90s and I started directing moving images. I had a passion for fashion & music and its expression through music videos, I had a year’s worth of ideas that I was itching to bring to life.
Today, I am making it happen - directing film, life's reportage, photography and print media in London, Paris and New York, traveling to different destinations to capture the human choice of lifestyle or a circumstance the search for which has been fascinating - the people, the human form, street life.Hopefully you will enjoy this website and Peace to you all... |
